Clattering Crabs

Clattering Crabs is a playful coastal scene inspired by my childhood long summer holidays, spent in my family's home in Lebanon, where I would often explore sandy beaches and observe crabs moving along the shoreline at low tide. These memories of the sea and its small, fascinating creatures have stayed with me and continue to inspire my work.

I have always had a deep love for all types of shellfish, and this piece forms part of an ongoing series celebrating these charming coastal creatures.

This work is a perfect expression of my artistic ethos: whimsical, fun, and simple in spirit, while still maintaining a refined and considered visual language. A muted palette of sandy yellows, rustic browns, and soft ocean blues brings a sense of calm cohesion to the composition, balancing light-hearted storytelling with an understated elegance.
